2025 Women’s Night at the Museum

The Seattle Chapter celebrated Women’s History Month with a night at the Museum of Flight. Chapter President Tom Esser led a tour of the museum filled with fun stories of inspirational women in the history of aviation. This event was a part of the chapter’s “SFTE for All” initiative aimed at creating more inclusive spaces for all flight testers. Highlights of the tour included visiting a Curtiss JN-4 “Jennie” similar to the ones owned by famous aviator Bessie Coleman, marveling at the impressive feats of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP), and learning about the incredible impact Mary Golda Ross had as the only woman of the 40 original Skunk Works engineers.
